Keep your guests dancing!

Many of our bride's want to keep their guests dancing all night so they are offering them flip flops or other shoes that they can slip into and get back on the dance floor!

Marshevet Hooker & Marcus Myers

Catching up!!!  We wanted to share photos from one of our favorite weddings.  It was a pleasure working with this amazing family.    You may recognize this bride as she and her family are San Antonio celebrities.   Marshevet Hooker competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing, China.  Marshevet's father, Ricky Hooker, is a former NBA player and her sister Destinee Hooker

represented the US in Volleyball at the 2012 Summer Olympics.   We were very proud to be apart of making this day a reality.

Meredith & Travis - Sonterra Country Club

This outgoing couple didn't want a brown and orange color scheme for their November wedding.  They wanted COLOR.  The bride loved lots of shimmer and bling!    Sonterra Country Club was the perfect location for our couple from Austin, Texas.  

Keep your wedding reception interesting...

We love to MOVE guests from one location to another throughout a reception.....cocktails in one area, dinner in another and then dancing in yet another location.   Moving the guests keeps them guessing as to what's next!   Keep your wedding reception interesting.   Even in a traditional space such as this wedding done at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel you can achieve this..... We brought in lounge furniture and specialty lighting to create a fun atmosphere when the guests transitioned to dancing.   We wanted them away from the dinner tables and onto the dance floor!

Monograms are still a great way to personalize your day.   Show off your new monogram on the dance floor, cake, cocktail napkins and dinner menus.....But etiquette says you should not use your new monogram before you say I DO!  That means do not use it on your wedding invitation.....I know we have all seen it before but I think I agree that it is best to save your new monogram for all items to be seen after you walk down the aisle.    Instead use your initials for stationary sent before you are Mr. & Mrs.

Bride's ask me how to find inspiration for their day....I say use what you love!  What makes you feel good when you look at it.

OMG!!!  We are so happy that Jacey and Anthony's wedding was featured on the wonderful wedding website Style Me Pretty.   This wedding was a favorite of mine and I very happy that everyone will be able see this gorgeous event.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!!  I just love this time of year.   Cozy socks, warm cups of coffee with homemade whipped cream....something baking in the oven...soup on the stove....

I thought I would share this yummy recipe for mini cherry pies.  So good and super easy!

Just use pre-made pie crusts x2.   Cherry pie filing....a glass of wine while it bakes and add a bit of homemade whipped cream....sooooo yummy!!!    

My husband and I enjoyed these each night after dinner.....I can't wait to make more!
